Know How Your Air Conditioner Works?

Everyone has an Air Conditioner at their house or office building in the summer season; it acts as a lifeline for the people against the burning heat. We all know what AC does, do we know how it works?

Let’s find out the mystery and understand the functioning of AC.

Start from the basics

The working is little bit complicated, yet easy to understand. In any AC there are generally five components.

  • Refrigerant
  • Compressor
  • Evaporator coil
  • Condenser
  • Expansion valve

There are different models available in the market like window unit, ductless air conditioner, central air conditioning and portable air conditioner. The designs are different, but the working is still same.

Here, we discuss the components and their functions in details.

Refrigerant

Like blood flows in the arteries and veins of the body and provide oxygen, the refrigerant also acts as blood that transported into the cooling tubes. Its working is to convert the gas vapor to the liquid and collecting the heat. This heat is further ejected out from the outdoors.

The composition shows that it is useful in lowering down the boiling point. Therefore, it is required for safe working of the AC.

Compressor

As the refrigerant work as blood, Compressor is a “heart” that pump the refrigerant. When the refrigerant goes inside the compressor, it ejects out the high pressure hot vapor.

Evaporator coil

The evaporator coils are intended for passing of low pressure cold liquid and is placed in the plenum of the furnace. Further, the coils blow away the hot air simultaneously transporting the cold air.

Condenser

After the hot refrigerant passes from the compressor, it moves towards the condenser. It is the place where the high-pressure hot refrigerant vapor gets cooled down, this happens because the powerful fan blows the air over condensing coils. After the cooling gets completed, the vapor moves onto the expansion valve.

Expansion Valve

This is the most important component of the air conditioner. It works start when the hot liquid refrigerant goes into a tiny opening. At that time the pressure was very high in the valve on one side. This results in the formation of cool low-pressure mist on the other side.

To be very frank, the air conditioner is just a device, which functions on the force of refrigerant gas that cause expansion and cool the incoming air. The formation of low-pressure cold liquid mist causes it to move onto the evaporator coil. So, at frequent time period you should go for AC maintenance in Arabian ranches.

As the functioning of AC plays a pivotal role, its maintenance equally has its own importance. If you are looking for the maintenance services, then nothing one can be better than AC maintenance Arabian ranches. By doing regular conditioning and maintenance, the working life and the performance of the device gets increased. Therefore, the professionals suggest for opting the regular maintenance services to avoid any kind of problem.
